This section will give you the information you need to prepare for coming to study in Nottingham. You will find out how to:

- register with the police
- get part-time work in the UK.
We have also put together a checklist of what you need to think about and do before you get here, when travelling to Nottingham and once you arrive. Print, read and tick off each item on your checklist.

Travelling to Nottingham
Meet and greet service
We offer a meet and greet service from Heathrow airport in September. If you are starting at the University in September 2012, and need information on how to make your journey to Nottingham, please print off our International Students' Arrivals Guide.
Taxi pick-up service
We organise a negotiated taxi pick-up service for new international students arriving in the UK. If you are interested in booking a taxi please email the International Development Office. Remember to tell us your name, NTU ID number, date of travel, name of airport (including terminal) and flight number if you have this information.
Welcome Week
We organise lots of fun-packed welcome events and activities to help you to:- find your way around University
- settle into university life
- get to know Nottingham and UK culture
- make new friends.
