Fresher reps
Fresher reps are current student volunteers who help out throughout Welcome Week. They will be on hand to help you move into halls, find your way around and, most importantly of all, have a great time.
Fresher Reps can be found in all NTU/ UPP halls and many of the private halls too. They will be on hand over the first weekend carrying bags up to your rooms and helping you orientate you to your new home. From then on they will help you find your way to events such as Sunday Funday and Welcome to NTU and be ready to take you out to sample Nottingham's fantastic night life.
Towards the end of the week, Fresher Reps will recruit you to take part in the mighty Saturday Antics where you can represent your hall playing five-a-side, dodgeball, welly wanging or the monumental tug-of-war competition. There are teams for students not in halls and Fresher Reps around to help them too.
Fresher reps work for you. If you have a question, just go and ask. If they don't know the answer, they'll know someone who does. Fresher Reps work a very long week, so we tend to recruit enthusiastic and exuberant characters. They want you to come and take part in as much of the social life as possible so, the first time you encounter them in the evening, they might be quite excitable and sometimes a little loud. They want to lead you on to the party every night; we strongly suggest that you take part in as much or as little as you fancy.
