Join societies

Societies are run by students, for students and they're all open for anyone to join. Nottingham Trent Students' Union has a wide range to choose from, ranging from religious and cultural to campaigning and recreational.

If making music is your thing, we've got a Music Society, or if you prefer listening, we've got thriving Indie, Rock and Rave Societies. Or perhaps you're keen to see an improvement in our lives through active campaigning or conservation?

Our faith groups, including Islamic, Christian and Jewish, offer the chance to meet other people with your beliefs and get involved with activities suited to your way of life. Then there's kicking back and relaxing with our Film Society, showing blockbusters and cult classics; sampling the delights of Nottingham's finest beers with the Real Ale and Cider Society or experiencing the culture of the Asian, African and Caribbean, Chinese or International Societies.

With almost 80 societies, there's something for almost everyone at Nottingham Trent University. There's also the option, if you can't find anything of interest, to set up your own society. The Students' Union can help you and your friends to start up your very own society and they'll even give you some money to do it with!
