Student Financial Support Service

We want to ensure that your finances do not become an obstacle to your studies here at Nottingham Trent University. That is why we offer comprehensive financial advice to all of our students. In this section you will find advice on student income and expenditure, including details about tuition fees, student loans and other financial support. 

Have you returned your Student Finance Declaration form?

If you applied online for your loans and grants, you will not receive payment until you have signed and returned the declaration form. For more information about what you need to do to make sure you get your funding, check out our step by step guide.

NTU Scholarships for New students (2012 Entry)

NTU Scholarship letters will be sent out to eligible students within 4 weeks of the University being notified that your student finance for 2012 / 13 has been finalised. If you are eligible for a fee reduction, we will notify your Student Finance Service of your new tuition fee.

How do I get my loan and grant?

If you are a full-time home undergraduate student and you are expecting to receive any loans or grants from Student Finance England, please be aware that you need to be fully enrolled and have collected your Student card before you can receive your funding. NTU Bursaries (pre-2012 entrants only)

NTU bursary notification letters will be sent out to eligible full-time undergraduate students by the end of November. NTU Bursaries are paid in two equal instalments on 20 February and 15 May. If you've not receive a letter by the end of November, then contact the Student Financial Support Service.

Student Finance England - Phishing emails

Protect your student funding - Beware of scam emails which are often sent out just prior to the payment of grants, loans or bursaries. Student Finance England will never email you asking you to confirm your login, user or bank account details. Be aware that you may be sent scam emails through friends on Facebook and that some emails state that your payments will be stopped.
