EU students
As an EU student studying a full-time undergraduate course, you will find detailed information about tuition fees and your entitlement on Gov.UK.
If you are planning a transfer that will involve starting a new course or changing your mode of study during the 2013 / 14 academic year, it is especially important that you seek advice as there have been major changes to the level of tuition fees and the funding package and you will need to know which set of regulations you will fall under for fees and funding purposes.
Students who started their course at NTU before 1 September 2012
If you are a continuing full-time student who started an undergraduate course after September 2006 and before September 2012, your tuition fees for the 2013 / 14 academic year will be £3,465. A similar amount will be charged for each year of study. Your fees will normally be £700, if you will be spending the year on placement as an integral part of an undergraduate sandwich degree programme.
Students who started their course at NTU after 1 September 2012
If you are a continuing full-time student who started an undergraduate course after 1 September 2012 and before September 2013, your tuition fees for the 2013 / 14 academic year will be £8,500 and for Foundation programmes will be £6,500. If you are studying a year long placement as part of a sandwich course in 2013 / 14, you will not have to pay a fee this year.
You can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of these fees. The tuition fee loan is not means tested. Your eligibility will not, therefore, depend on your household income. You do not have to repay these loans until after you leave university and are earning more than a certain amount.
Further information
The EU Customer Services Team within the Student Loans Company is responsible for processing the tuition fee loan. Please visit Gov.UK to find out how to apply.
You can arrange to pay your fees direct to the University if you choose not to take a tuition fee loan at all. You have the option of doing this in three equal instalments, if the total you choose to pay direct to the University is £500 or more. See our paying your fees pages for details on how to pay your fees.
