The deadline for submitting your student finance application to Student Finance England is 29 June 2012.You must meet the relevant application deadline (see above) to ensure that your funding is in place for the start of the academic year. If you miss the deadline, apply as soon as possible to minimise delays.

*Student Finance England Update for 2012 / 13

Student Finance England has improved the application process for existing students to make it quicker and easier for you to re-apply for your student finance.

How to reapply will depend on your personal circumstances as follows:

  • Students applying for student finance which depends on their household income (i.e. depends on their parents' income or their partner's income) should reapply online for their student finance as usual.
  • Students who, last year, applied for student finance which did not depend on their household income, and who wish to be assessed for the same non-means tested student finance this year, will be sent a Student Finance Entitlement letter by the end of February 2012 which includes a declaration form to sign and return. If you were not non means-tested last year and will not need to be this year, your funding will be processed automatically and you should wait to hear from Student Finance England
  • Apply online, if your student finance was non means-tested last year, but you would like to submit an application based on your household income this year.

See Student Finance England’s comprehensive application guide PDF icon for the full information.

You will need to apply by the deadlines above to ensure that you get your funding on time. The University needs confirmation of how your tuition fees are being paid before you can become fully enrolled.

Please note
You must to declare the correct tuition fee for 2012 / 13.

  • Your tuition fee as a full-time, home undergraduate student is £3,465.
  • Your tuition fee will normally be £700, if you are a full-time home undergraduate on a work placement as part of a sandwich course.
