Our Chaplains are trained to support people with loss and bereavement issues. They can also talk to you confidentially, compassionately and objectively about the issues you might be facing. You do not have to be of faith to book a chat, simply use the contact details below and we'll arrange a time to meet.

Reverend Dr Richard Davey - Coordinating Chaplain

Richard was ordained a Church of England Priest in 1993. He has worked all over the country but settled in Nottinghamshire in 1999, working first at Southwell Minster and then coming to NTU in 2004. As Coordinating Chaplain, he is there for any student who would like to talk about their issues, which might include loneliness, general worries, wider spiritual questions, or bereavement. You can drop in at the Clifton Centre, or email Richard to make an appointment.

Richard also promotes and explores ways to promote the relevance of faith and spirituality in the University. Because this is a multi-faith chaplaincy, he is there to support students of all faiths and none. Richard is also an Associate Priest in All Saints Church, Raleigh Street, St Peter's and St Mary's, where he takes Services and helps out where needed.

Richard has a PhD from the University of Nottingham looking at faith and contemporary art, and as a result he is also a visiting fellow in the School of Art & Design, where he does a number of projects looking at spirituality and art.

Richard is married and has a daughter at primary school. Along with spending time with his family and the many animals that share their lives, he loves art, music, walking in the countryside and cycling.

You can telephone Richard on +44 (0)115 848 3279 or send an email.
