Welcome Events and Activities for new international students during Welcome Week

Welcome Week provides a great opportunity for all students to take part in lots of great activities, make new friends and get settled into life at NTU and in Nottingham. Some of the information sessions and activities have been specifically organised for international students and we have listed these below.

Welcome Points

When you arrive at the University, come along to one of our International Student Welcome Points. You can collect a Welcome Pack, ask any questions you may have about life in Nottingham or at NTU, and find out more about our Welcome Events for international students.

International Welcome Event for Early Arrivals

International Welcome Event for Early ArrivalsThis event has been organised especially for international students who are due to arrive in Nottingham a little bit before the start of Welcome Week. The event will comprise of an official welcome from NTU staff, useful information about starting at NTU and taking part in the exciting events during Welcome Week, and - best of all - the opportunity to meet and make friends with fellow international students. Student ambassadors and staff members will be around to answer any questions you have, and we'll finish the event off with a traditional British delight - Afternoon Tea!

Places are limited, so you must book a place on this event in advance.

ME-TimeCome along, grab some free lunch and have a chat to other new students and NTU staff. This event will be run both on our City site and at Clifton Campus.

International Students' Scavenger HuntExplore Nottingham City Centre whilst making new friends on this year's all-new International Students' Scavenger Hunt! Students will be divided into teams, who will set out on an adventure around Nottingham to find answers to questions about the local area. Prizes for the fastest teams and best photos!
International Students' QuizCome along and meet other international students and enjoy a buffet followed by a fun prize with prizes.

International Students' Scavenger HuntExplore Nottingham City Centre whilst making new friends on this year's all-new International Students' Scavenger Hunt! Students will be divided into teams, who will set out on an adventure around Nottingham to find answers to questions about the local area. Prizes for the fastest teams and best photos!
International Students' BBQA fantastic opportunity to meet other new international students whilst enjoying some BBQ food and live music! Student Ambassadors will also be around to tell you about their life at NTU and answer all your questions about Welcome Week and being a student in Nottingham.
