We want to hear directly from industry experts.

We have regularly invited professionals in related fields to come and talk to you. Students have heard guest lectures on a variety of topics including:

hate crime
human trafficking
delivering healthcare in danger
public confidence in Policing in the 21st Century.

We also hold a regular weekly psychology seminar series over the academic year to invite excellent internal and external speakers to present their research findings.

Can we have more support with employability?

We have introduced ‘Succeed with Social Sciences,’ which is a series of events that focus on preparing you for your future career.

We need more IT facilities.

A new IT and study area has opened in Café Chaucer for term two, with 40 new PCs and a colour printer/photocopier.
