Teaching Excellence Framework
CADQ leads the submission of the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework. We work with Schools from across the institution to develop our submission to evidence that NTU is an outstanding place to study. NTU is currently rated as a Gold institution.
The Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) is a national exercise which assesses excellence in teaching at universities and colleges, and how well they ensure excellent outcomes for students.
CADQ uses the TEF as a minimum benchmarking service in order to ensure our students' experiences of teaching are sector-leading. Specifically, we use data from NSS, that on non-continuation and post-study employment to analyse and make interventions where we feel that standard is not being kept to. Recently, we undertook a Curriculum Refresh project which revamped our courses to include aspects that our students found valuable such as international perspectives.
CADQ leads the institution's submission of the TEF and works with all the Schools and various departments in Professional Services to bring together our institutional submission. At present, NTU is rated Gold in the TEF for delivering consistently outstanding teaching and learning outcomes for students. The next TEF awards will be given in 2020/21.
