Be part of Student 2025
We are looking for 100 students starting at NTU in September 2021/22 to join us on this journey and provide insight and understanding of their student experience from Welcome Week right through to Graduation.
Why get involved?
This type of research project is innovative in the sector and will follow 100 students throughout their entire student journey at NTU. We'll be there from Welcome Week right through to Graduation and follow you through all the experiences that come along with that to gain a deeper understanding of what is means to be a student today.
We want to hear everything and anything about your time at NTU, which could include:
- If you get taught in an innovative way and really like it - tell us!
- If you think there's an aspect of NTU that can be improved - tell us!
- If you have a really good experience, no matter how small - tell us!
This is your chance to shape NTU for years to come. Your experiences will help steer future decisions about aspects of the student journey, and NTU, as we aim to address the greatest challenge in higher education; to ensure all students can succeed, regardless of their background.
What would I need to do?
In consenting to participate, you agree to complete one interview each term, accompanied by a standard questionnaire. Interview questions and questionnaire questions will remain largely the same throughout the project.
The time commitment required of you is relatively small, anticipated at no more than 10 hours per academic year. Participants also consent to use of their academic outcome data—at module and year-end level—by the project team.
In recognition of this commitment, participants in Student 2025 will receive a maximum compensation of £150 per year, paid in £50 instalments.
How do I sign up?
To submit an expression of interest in this project please fill in this Form. The Student 2025 team will then be in contact with you to confirm your participation in the research project.
Once confirmed, we'll ask for a few more details from you and gain your formal consent. At that point, there's nothing else we ask you to do other than go and live the student journey and come back to tell us about it every few months.
If you have any questions about the Student 2025 project, contact the Project team.
