Nottingham Business School is delighted to welcome and present Professor Richard Parry-Jones, one of the most influential automotive technologists in the world. Richard Parry-Jones was the Vice President of Global Product Development at Ford Motor Company for a decade. He directly shaped and determined the direction of new technology and products in the global auto industry and is responsible for a creation and introduction of at least two generations of automobiles for all products in Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo and Mazda. In short he has shaped what many of us drive in the world today.

Now as the co-chair of the UK Automotive Council and Chairman of Network Rail he is guiding the future investment in our transport technologies that will determine the UK's future role in the automotive and rail industry.

In this lecture, Richard will share his unique and unparalleled insight about the future automotive technology and industry and how sustainable mobility will shape up over the next two decades.

Parking:

There is no parking available at the University itself, but there are many car parking facilities within a couple of minutes walking distance. The nearest car park is Talbot Street Car Park. If using this car park please exit onto Chaucer Street.

Travel Info:

If you are travelling to Nottingham by car the fastest and easiest way to get to the Newton building is by using the cities park and ride tram service. NET Trams depart every ten minutes from the Phoenix Park and Hucknall sites and takes you directly into the city within 20 minutes. The cost of a day travel ticket is £3.50.

The tram is also convenient if you are travelling by train. Trams also depart from Nottingham Train Station at ten minute intervals. You can alight at either the Royal Centre or Nottingham Trent University tram stop as they are equidistant to the Newton building.
