Event details

Important creepy crawlies are a part of our valuable ecosystem, so we're getting together to build some habitats to help them thrive.

Insects including bees, butterflies, ladybirds, spiders, beetles, worms and many more attract the animals that feed on them including birds, reptiles and amphibians. This cycle continually goes on, allowing the world to function the way it does.

To help keep these ecosystems running smoothly, minibeasts need a habitat in which they can thrive. That's where we come in.

In April we have planned to get together and create a variety of minibeast hotels, houses and, at Brackenhurst, herb gardens too.

So come and spend your time outdoors being creative, meeting new people,  learning new skills including woodwork, and learn about the new habitats we are creating and why they are important.

When's it all happening?

  • Brackenhurst - Wednesday 23 April, 10 am - 3 pm - SU Garden
  • Clifton - Friday 25 April, 11 am - 2 pm - Bike workshop (by the Global Lounge)
  • City - Monday 28 April, 11 am - 2 pm - Taylor Building
