Nottingham Trent University's Postgraduate Research Festival is a celebration of the excellent work of our Graduate School community.

The Festival includes research workshops, poster competitions, and the Three Minute Thesis competition.

Our research students make a valuable contribution to knowledge across all our subject areas and add to the rich cultural diversity of the University.

Discover a world of fascinating research, meet the researches involved and have your say in judging the best work.

Three Minute ThesisWatch our students as they take on the challenge of condensing an entire PhD into just three minutes! Come and gain a unique insight into the work of our postgraduate research students and find out what it's like to do a PhD.

Students, staff and members of the public are welcome.


Monday 19 May

12.30 pm - Festival opens

Research stands and Graduate School staff  are available for informal discussions around PhD study and funding options.

Poster competition and Three Minute Thesis DVD entries will be open for viewing from Monday afternoon until Wednesday morning.

Tuesday 20 May

12 noon - 2 pm - Live Three Minute Thesis competition and judging

2 pm - 4 pm - Three Minute Thesis DVD competition and judging

Wednesday 21 May

12 noon - 2 pm - Poster competition panel judging

2 pm - 2.30 pm - Poster panel and public vote results

NTU research students - we are running a range of workshops to help develop your skills and build you into an effective researcher.
