If you want to make your business and your money go further, this half-day workshop could be the best few hours you've spent this year.

Are you;

  • looking for new funding opportunities?
  • growing your business and want to know how to get financial help?
  • interested in available funding and how to access it?
  • keen to understand different ways of raising cash, and what’s right for you?
  • in need of dedicated advice from finance experts?

John Griffiths is Managing Director of Connect Venture Enterprises Ltd, and an expert on helping businesses bid for and raise funds. He is the Delivery Partner for Nottingham-Pitch Perfect, the investment readiness programme run by Foresight Group who manage the £40m Nottingham Investment Fund. He is also a Business Angel investor.

In this workshop John will introduce tried, tested, and more recent ways that you can successfully apply for funding to develop your business. He'll provide an overview of the benefits and pitfalls attached with each type of funding, and will help each delegate to 'think like an investor' and hone an attractive pitch. The workshop will include a dedicated section on crowdfunding.

The event also welcomes UHY Hacker Young Chartered Accountants, who can offer specialist advice on R&D Tax Credits.

The workshop will finish at 1 pm, and is followed by a free networking lunch.

This event is part funded by the ERDF. There is no fee to attend for eligible small and medium businesses in the East Midlands.
