Lecture synopsis
This lecture will reflect on the future of the HE sector in the UK and beyond by looking at the social trends, demographic changes, technological innovations, international developments, new entrants and other factors that universities are likely to have to deal with in the next five years. These considerations will also be discussed in the context of financial austerity and the balance between risk and reward in what may be a more regulated environment.
