Progression and attainment workshop

These sessions took place in May and June 2015 (the last one being on 5 June) and provided an overview of current work across the sector which aims to understand disparities in student progression and attainment. The sessions focussed in particular on gender, ethnicity and widening participation and provided an introduction to:

  • sector patters of student progression and attainment including multiple identities and differences between ethnicity groups
  • current sector understanding of the causes of the disparities in student progression and attainment.

The workshops were designed to raise awareness of the issues behind the 'Narrowing the Progression and Attainment Gap' work that is currently taking place across the University.

The Narrowing the Progression and Attainment Gap project has been endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor as his first Equality and Diversity theme lead. For further information about the project, please visit the Narrowing the Progression and Attainment Gap SharePoint site.

If you would like further information about the session, please contact Sarah Lawther.
