Caring for people with life-limiting illnesses since 1980Now in its 35th year, the hospice has provided care and support for thousands of people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Every year it provides over 7,000 day therapy places and delivers over 36,000 hours of support through its Hospice at Home service - which often makes the difference between someone dying alone at home or having a caring hand to hold when they need it most. The hospice costs around £4 million a year to run, receiving a third of this from the local NHS, and relying on charitable events and fundraising activities for the remaining £3 million.
