Event details

In this lecture Professor Breedon will discuss the importance of newly emerging technologies and materials, and their potential links with innovative medical research and design.

He will briefly introduce us to technologies that we might consider to be science fiction, which are in reality becoming science fact. He will also share details from his recent visit to a number of NASA research centres across the USA.

Professor Breedon will talk about how his research interests are linked to a number of projects that are being undertaken by the Design for Health and Wellbeing Research Group, based within Product Design at Nottingham Trent University. Relating specifically to medical device and systems development projects include the treatment of facial weakness following stroke and Bell's Palsy, and additive manufacturing as a process to create innovative medical devices.
