Compliance film screening and discussion

This event will involve a viewing of Compliance, a critically acclaimed yet hard-hitting and controversial film based on real-life events that took place in Kentucky in 2004.

The film has been linked to social influences processes exhibited in some of the worst human atrocities of the 20th Century and those said to be exposed in Milgram’s famous obedience studies. Discussion following the film will critically analyse both the movie, the real-life events and these social influence processes.

Students should be aware that there are uncomfortable scenes and scenes containing nudity.
