Drone: A documentary

This session is a documentary and debate session on the film Drone.

The drone is a contradictory weapon. Both praised for its capacity to reduce collateral damage, while also being seen to represent the arm of an industrialised killing programme reviled across the world. Featuring survivors and those who live under constant threat of drone strikes, activist lawyers attempting to stop their use, military analysts who still maintain their efficacy and a former drone pilot turned vocal critic, this documentary offers an absorbing perspective on this controversial weaponry.

The documentary will be followed by a Q&A led by Dr Liam McCarthy-Cotter on the role of drones in international politics.
