Stuart: A Life Backwards

We will watch and discuss an abridged version of a BBC TV dramatisation of, Stuart: A Life Backwards, based on the book by Alexander Masters (2006). This is the life story of an alcoholic, homeless man with mental health difficulties, the sort of man people edit out of their consciousness. It explores how a young boy, disabled from birth, became mentally unstable, criminal and violent, living homeless on the streets of Cambridge.

What you need to check before attending the event

  • Are you studying on BA (Hons) Social Work? You will still have scheduled teaching, seminars or you will be on placement. You are very welcome to attend our ACE Week events that do not clash with your scheduled teaching.
