This event is the annual scientific meeting for the British Society for the Personality and Individual Differences (BSPID).
The BSPID began in 2010 for the furtherance of scientific enquiry within the general field of individual differences, including personality and intelligence, in the UK. It aims to facilitate theoretical, basic and applied fields, and works to achieve an integration of the psychology of individual differences and experimental, cognitive and social psychology. It holds annual meetings at which papers are read and discussions held. The Society also acts as a forum for the timely exchange of ideas and findings.
Keynote speakers at this event will include Professor Mark Griffiths, Nottingham Trent University, on the topic of Individual Differences in Behavioural Addiction and Professor Constantine Sedikides, University of Southampton, on the topic of Narcissism in organisational contexts.
Call for papers
The BSPID encourages oral presentations from junior researchers (e.g. students, emerging researchers) as well as more established internationally known scientists; and offers students an opportunity to present alongside more senior academics. There are three types of oral presentation with varying lengths: 15 minute, 10 minute and five-minute talks. The five-minute talks are specifically for doctoral students to rapidly present a snapshot of their data to receive feedback from the academic community. For further information about the call for papers, please visit the BSPID website.
Abstract deadline: 11 March, 2016. Registration deadline: 26 March, 2016.
Registration fee includes buffet lunch and refreshments.
Following the scientific meeting, delegates are welcome to attend diner at a local restaurant (not covered by registration fee).
Full programme to be confirmed.
