The Modern Languages Seminar Series runs regularly throught term time, inviting both internal and external speakers.

Professor Jean-Pierre Boulé will introduce Moroccan writer and film director Abdellah Taïa. Abdellah will read in English from his novel, Salvation Army, before a Q&A session.

Later, at 8 pm, Nottingham Trent University and Broadway Cinema and Cafebar are delighted to welcome Abdellah to discuss for the first time in the United Kingdom his film Salvation Army with Professor Jean-Pierre Boulé from the School of Arts and Humanities. The film is based on the novel of the same name. Salvation Army / L’Armée du salut (France 2013, USA 2015, 81 minutes, certificate advised 18) English subtitles. This evening event will take place at Broadway.

At Broadway, copies of An Arab Melancholia and Salvation Army will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
