An evening not to be missed! The Philharmonia Orchestra joins forces with the Nottingham Trent University Choir to perform Edward Elgar's masterpiece The Dream of Gerontius.

Set to the text of Cardinal Newman's famous poem, The Dream of Gerontius follows the journey of a dying man, his reawakening as a soul, and preparation for his judgement day.

On completing this work, Elgar stated: "This is the best of me; for the rest, I ate, and drank, and slept, loved and hated, like another: my life was as the vapour and is not; but this I saw and knew; this, if anything of mine, is worth your memory."

With an exciting line-up of internationally renowned soloists, including the leading English tenor Toby Spence in the role of Gerontius.

Together with the 200+ strong choir, this is truly a performance not to be missed.

Tickets: £10 - £34.50

Tickets available from the Royal Concert Hall website, or by telephoning the Box Office on 0115 989 5555.
