Event details
We are giving students in their first year of sixth form or college the opportunity to attend our Criminal Court day. Students considering a career within the legal profession will find this an invaluable insight into life as a solicitor or barrister.
Students will take on the roles of solicitors and barristers, working through a criminal case from the point of receiving a court brief, through interviewing witnesses, to finally preparing and arguing their case in court.
Before the mock trial, students will participate in two legal skills sessions which cover court procedures and advocacy to ensure students have the skills required to actively participate in the criminal case.
As well as learning about essential legal skills, students will also be able to build on their teamworking, critical thinking, communication and leadership skills as part of this hands-on event.
Places are limited to 35 students - don't miss out!
