Event details

Join the Green Academy team for a taster session featuring our cross-disciplinary teaching materials on climate change negotiations and games as part of the TILT grouping on sustainability.

You will have a unique opportunity to experience simulated forms of participation, negotiations and outcomes of a UN-led international conference that addresses climate change, such as the recent Conference of Parties (COP21) in Paris.

You will become a member of a state delegation, constituency or non-governmental organisation (NGO). Your delegation will work together to put forward your key objectives in terms of climate change, and negotiate with other groups towards a legally binding agreement.

As a result of participating in the taster session, you will not only gain a fascinating insight into the processes involved, but you will also have the opportunity to consider how this innovative and interactive form of delivery can aid students' engagement with the cross-disciplinary topics of sustainability and climate change. Prior to the session you will be sent a briefing paper to read, which will take no more than 30 minutes.

For more information, please email the Green Academy by 5pm on Friday 8 July 2016.
