The Design Innovation Hub at Nottingham Trent University is offering an introduction to emerging and disruptive technologies, which includes 3D modelling, 3D scanning, 3D printing, augmented and virtual realities.
This taster event is designed to introduce these design technologies. Delegates will learn about their potential and limitations within typical SME budget capabilities, and discuss how they might be used to develop innovative processes in design and product development. This will allow you to learn the basics in a number of areas, including:
- 3D CAD software to understand the potential for building your own 3D models
- 3D scanning and image capture as an alternative means to generate 3D CAD models
- 3D printing and the 3D model preparation software that supports it
- augmented reality, and how this emerging technology might be incorporated into your design process and overall business practice.
Complimentary refreshments and nibbles will be provided.
