Enabling Innovation presents ‘Reducing Wastage & Change Management for Innovation’

As part of the enabling Innovation project we invite SMEs from the D2N2 area to attend this exciting and interactive event which focusses on how to effectively reduce waste, save money and implement change management within your business.
Waste is a resource which can lead to greater business productivity if it is successfully managed. The amount of money you can save by managing waste can depend on many key issues which we will discuss in this session. Making small changes can help your reputation with customers, clients, employees and insurers whilst keeping you ahead of the game regarding compliance and environmental legislation.

Our speakers will share information about up to date waste management tactics and discuss new concepts and ideas to support your business as you grow. We will talk about optimising resources, reduce wastage and save money. There will be a variety of clients attending with the opportunity for networking both during and after the event.
We will help your business to identify and explore a variety of options that can successfully reduce the overhead costs of your business. There will be lively discussions and the opportunity to ask questions of our speakers.

The workshop covers:
- Staff Engagement – An exercise to help ensure your staff get on board with waste management reduction and see themselves as part of this ever growing movement
- How to effectively monitor and manage your resources to reduce and eliminate wastage
- Available tools for monitoring waste

Layla Leak ECA Environmental Co-Ordinator will speak on ECA Group – Energy Legislation. The horizon
The none commodity element of our utility bills is due to rise from 55% today to 70% by 2020. We will get a deeper understanding of this changing legislation and explore what it could mean for your business and how you could use it to your advantage.

You will leave the event with a brief action plan, enabling you to follow up on the points given. Our team will then keep in contact with you to see what your business achieves and how you implement these changes.
