Enabling Innovation's Food and Drink Hub invites local small and medium organisations from the D2N2 area (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) to get involved with their introduction to the Enabling Innovation event.

Enabling Innovation's Food and Drink Hub invites local small and medium organisations from the D2N2 area (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) to get involved the introductory Enabling Innovation event.
Come along on Tuesday 29 November to find out more about what the hub can offer you, give us your feedback on areas of support you'd find useful, and network.
Areas covered as part of the event will include:
Outsourcing: How to choose a manufacturing partner, SALSA, vs. BRC, dealing and negotiating with co-packers.
Category Management: Positioning your business from a retail category point-of-view rather than a branding perspective
Branding & Marketing: How to get your products to sell from the shelves, how to find & cost a designer, effective social media campaigns.
Innovation: Future trends (a key topic for any food business) how to “run” innovation & successful new product development programmes.
Sales negotiations: Dealing with suppliers & buyers. How to leverage & influence retailers.
Financing & crowdfunding with a specific focus on food businesses.
Exporting: How to prepare for it, how to do it, where to do it.
As part of Enabling Innovation, The Food and Drink Innovation team (School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences) – Will deliver expert workshops and dedicated technical support for new product development and testing for the food and drink sector will be provided.

9:45 – 10:15: Jenny Slack/Karen Green – Knowledge & expertise within the hub, examples of projects we can support
