Taking placing on the Central Gallery of the Newton building, this exhibition presents approximately 100 posters from staff and students at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and the Korean Institute of Cultural Product and Design (KICD). Focusing on ideas around advertising, package design, branding, illustration, publication design, graphic design and photography as design and attempts to identify similarities, differences and conjuncture.

The exhibition is the culmination of a collaborative project between the Department of Visual Communication from the School of Art & Design at NTU and visiting scholar, Professor Wi Seong Ho, a Korean Visual Design Professor from Paekche Institute of the Arts and Vice President of KICD.

Alongside the exhibition the Department of Visual Communications will host a symposium, brings together our final year undergraduate and postgraduate students from Graphic Design, Visual Communication lecturers and 20 KICD affiliated lecturers and professors from across South Korea to examine current, new and future trends in visual communication, advertising and graphic design.

Our City site is located in Nottingham city centre. There are a number of public car parks within a short walk from the University – Trinity Square and Talbot Street. There is also limited metered on-street parking on Chaucer and Shakespeare Streets.

Travel Info:

If arriving by tram, please use the Nottingham Trent University stop on Goldsmith Street. The Newton building can be found a short walk away along the same street.
