Notions of Identity is a joint exhibition by second year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion (FCP) students at Nottingham Trent University (NTU). The work represented within the exhibition is a culmination of a six-week project, whereby the students were asked to explore notions of identity by working with either the fashion brand, Fred Perry or dance studio, Dance4.

The exhibition includes a selection of photographic images and accompanying zine.

The students have created a Facebook page about their exhibition.

FCP x Fred Perry – Subculture Uncovered

The students explored notions of identity in relation to subcultures and music. Their responses relate to the core work that Fred Perry produces through its digital marketing platform, ‘Subculture’ which works with the icons of British music and introduces some of the very best new artists from the UK onto the global stage.

Dance4 – Embodied: Creating Curiosity

The students explored notions of identity in relation to the body as identity and the choreographic relationship between body, time and space. Their responses relate to the core work that Dance4 supports and for some is informed by a current research project supported by Dance4 entitled 'Body of Knowledge'.
