Event details

British SMEs are facing increased levels of uncertainty fuelled by the EU Brexit Referendum at the regional level and internationally with the potential change of trade policies by the incoming US administration. As a result, UK SMEs need to reassess their business partnerships and strive to establish new relationships beyond Europe.

Our free half-day workshop will enable SMEs to interact with academics and policy makers to discuss the challenges and new opportunities they face in the global business environment.

Professor Pervez Ghauri is our keynote speaker for this event. Pervez Ghauri is Professor in International Business and Editor in Chief for International Business Review and Director of PhD Programmes at Birmingham Business School. He is Fellow of AIB and EIBA and sits on EIBA board.

The Department for International Trade (DIT) East Midlands will give an update on the current UK trade policies.

Academic researchers will also present their recent research findings and we will hear from business practitioners about their international operations and strategies.
