Event details

NTU Academic Zara Whysall will present an informative session to local SMEs exploring how to effectively manage and build your networks to support your business in growth and innovation.

It can prove difficult to find a group of like-minded individuals who you can bounce ideas off of and share your stories of successes and failures. This workshop will explain to you the variety of benefits that come from business networking. We will discuss systems for nurturing and growing your business network, help participants understand the process of networking and how to make and build valuable connections. A vast amount of the knowledge we use is gained through other people, therefore understanding networks is valuable and allows you to build relationships with people as passionate as you are about business.

Zara is an academic, consultant, and Chartered Psychologist who specialises in translating academic research into practical insights for managers and employers, helping address HR/L&D challenges such as talent management, leadership development, and high performing teams.

This event will take place in Nottingham City Centre (Room TBC) Refreshments and nibbles will be provided 9am-12pm

Enabling Innovation is a three-year collaboration between Nottingham Trent University, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Derby to support SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to innovate. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
