Nottingham Civic Exchange and the Department of Sociology are delighted to host this seminar with David Wolff, Director of the Community University Partnership Programme at the University of Brighton.

David Wolff has been the Director of the Community University Partnership Programme at the University of Brighton since its inception in 2003. In this talk he will reflect on the learning from over a decade of development work to establish mutually beneficial co-working between a university and its local community. David will address the question of how can we establish practices and structures that address social inequalities whilst enriching teaching and research. Drawing on recent research David will discuss how we might best sustain spaces where researchers, students, community practitioners and groups can work together to consider and address issues of mutual concern.

The event is open and suitable for all.
