The Maker Club at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) offers staff and students the opportunity to be part a of creative community of learning and sharing, through practical craft-based activities.

Free to attend, the Maker Club delivers extracurricular workshops in an informal setting with support from staff and student mentors.

The Maker Club at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) offers staff and students the opportunity to be part a of creative community of learning and sharing, through practical craft-based activities.

Free to attend, the Green Woodworking Taster Sessions are open to students and staff from across the University. Practical hands-on experience of traditional woodworking tools, including pole lathes and shaving horses will be available within each 90 minute session.

Participants will also have the opportunity to watch demonstrations in cleaving and shaping green wood with axes and draw knives.

Reserve your place

Sessions take place at the following times on both days:

  • 9.30 am – 11 am
  • 11.30 am – 1 pm
  • 2 pm – 3.30 pm

These sessions are open to students and staff from across the University and are free to attend.

To reserve your place please email NTUMakerClub@ntu.ac.uk and specify which day and session you would like to join.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
