We invite local creative or digital small and medium organisations from the D2N2 area (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) to get involved with two business support programmes at Nottingham Business School: The Enabling Innovation programme and the Big House programme.

Start with this informative and interactive taster session where business experts will provide 1:1 guidance on areas such as HR, finance, management and marketing. We can help bring the business challenges you are facing into sharper focus and create an action plan to overcome them.

Please arrive for a 9am start and the session will be followed by lunch and networking. This event is free to attend, but attendees must register in advance. In order to attend this event you must be eligible for support from the Enabling Innovation Programme, which supports SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Enabling Innovation is a three-year collaboration between Nottingham Trent University, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Derby to support SMEs in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to innovate. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The Big House programme at NTU aims to support growth in SMEs in the creative and digital sector in Derbyshire and Nottingham. Our series of Elevator workshops will provide a series of practical business growth workshops specially tailored to the needs of creative and digital SMEs with further access to 1:1 mentoring and grants to buy in freelance talent on specific business projects. The Big House is a consortia of seven partner organisations of which NTU is one. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Michael Huxley – Business innovation
Michael has a wide range of experience and expertise around Innovation and the development of new ideas whilst working across a number of sectors. Talk to him about:

Daniel King – Human resourcesDaniel is a lecturer and research coordinator at the Nottingham Business School and has provided consultancy to a number of local SMEs around human resources and they relate to the culture, productivity and structure of an organisation. Talk to him about all that is related to human resources

Stephen Hobbs – General business growthStephen is a highly respected facilitator and coach who supports businesses tackle problems and change through a facilitated process. He will ask the questions that challenge assumptions, clarify ideas, enable decision making, inspire action and help you come up with your own answers and plan of action. Talk to Stephen about questions related to:

Adam Smith – MarketingAdam is an NTU lecturer and business advisor with his own consultancy brand who specialises in Strategic Marketing and Management. He works with SMEs seeking to develop and innovate Talk to Adam about your strategic marketing and business development needs.
