Event details
The world need and demand for new materials and medical therapies and medicines has never been greater, this has not peaked and the global need is still increasing. Providing for the future healthcare needs of ageing populations is recognised by governments globally. The UK government is no exception, accepting the urgent need to address the healthcare challenges that the changing age profile in the UK brings.
We at NTU are already active in research across an extensive range of disciplines that develop, fabricate and invent new materials, material processing and medical technologies. These are areas of significant economic importance and they will be the subject of future funding calls from governments and funding bodies as well as stimulating commercial interest and collaboration.
At the theme launch meeting academics from across the University will present their interest and expertise during short presentations of 3 minutes each. Should you wish to be involved please submit your interest to louise.mounteney@ntu.ac.uk before 5pm on Monday 11th December.
For any queries please contact the theme lead Professor John Hunt.
