In the modern world, graphs and statistics are everywhere and we don’t have to stick with rigid old excel graphs all the time. Infographics are an incredibly popular alternative. They can be snappy and eye catching, instantly bringing in interest to what is written on them, highlighting the advantages of your innovation.
This workshop will focus on producing an infographic around one of your own pieces of work. they will be put up for the group to see and offer feedback.
Content will include:
- A short introduction by Dave Fairhurst
- Example infographics presented by speaker (TBC)
- Delegates have time to prepare some of their work into an infographic with assistance from speaker. They will then present to their group in turn. The attendees should prepare some research they are happy to share before attending this workshop.
Many young scientists leave Education with a brilliant knowledge of their subject but can be held back by shyness and a lack of education in the soft skills. This workshop aims to give you the footings to build a portfolio of these skills to help you better communicate your ideas and projects to your contemporary’s and colleagues in an effective manner.
This workshop is part of a series of workshops covering a variety of tools a modern scientist will need to innovate.
