Assembly is a celebratory group exhibition, hosted at Backlit Gallery that brings together a diverse and vibrant group of artists, designers and makers. These creative practitioners have been involved in the “How to Thrive as an Artist” project run by Enabling Innovation at Nottingham Trent University. The programme has supported them through a series of workshops and masterclasses since the start of 2018.
The creatives were introduced to using new technologies, outsourcing their work, diversifying their practices and expanding their networks, as well as financial training and a masterclass in exhibition curating.
The exhibition is an opportunity to work together to curate and install an exhibition at Backlit Galleries Project Space and a chance to develop their networks and present their work to new and wider audiences.
Please join us in viewing the variety of different artwork, all available to purchase direct from the artists.
Complimentary refreshments, networking and a friendly ambience will be provided. The Gallery will continue to display the exhibition Throughout Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm -5 pm.
Booking in not required for this event. Guests are welcome to join this open event from 5 pm on Friday 23 March.
