Plastic Planet campaign launch
Here at NTU, the Sustainable Development Team are exploring how to reduce the amount of single-use plastic used by staff and students as part of our new Plastic Planet campaign and we need your help!
- From: Tuesday 24 April 2018, 10 am
- To: Thursday 26 April 2018, 2 pm
The Plastic Planet campaign aims to raise awareness of the problems caused by single-use plastics and encourage behaviour changes that are better for the planet.
Across NTU we use a range of plastic products in all sorts of ways and the Sustainable Development Team is exploring how we can reduce our consumption of single use plastic. Come to one of our stalls and chat to us about what you think NTU should change and what you can do yourself.
We are working with other departments and discussing alternatives to frequently used disposable items but we would like to hear what you think NTU should be doing to tackle the plastic problem.
We will also be asking you to make a plastic pledge - will you promise to bring your reusable cup in everyday or say no to plastic cutlery? Every pledge made will enter you into a raffle to win eco-friendly prizes! Your feedback and pledges will be added to a visual display so come by one of our stalls and make a statement.
You can also drop off you single use plastics such as bottles and take-away containers to help us show the scale of the problem.
