Abstract
A Single-Electron Pump (SEP) emits a single electron per clock cycle at frequency f and therefore generates a quantised current I = ef, where e is the electron charge. We present research that aims to redefine the SI unit of current, the Ampere, in terms of this quantum current standard.
This seminar is hosted by Dr Demos Koutsogeorgis and Dr Christopher Castleton
All welcome.
