This engaging and interactive showcase invites businesses to investigate innovative processes and activities that can be brought into the SME workplace. The day’s events will include:

Speakers

  • April Bembridge - HR Director, PKF Cooper Parry

Culture Trumps StrategyHow does a 150-year old, traditional business, transform itself to become the fastest growing accountancy firm in the country, the  Sunday Times 12th Best Company to work for and the British Accountancy Awards Most Innovative firm of the year?Come and hear how PKF Cooper Parry have challenged every stereotype of accountants, ripped up the rule book and created the ‘Google’ of its profession with a mission to 'disrupt, lead and make life count'

  • Andrew McMillan

Andrew McMillan was the man behind the customer centric culture that made John Lewis the envy of the retail world. Under his guidance, staff consistently delivered the service that ensures John Lewis customers remain intensely loyal. Andrew will talk about developing a distinct and differentiated customer experience delivered through employees to define a brand. Fun at work is often seen as frivolous and rarely finds itself on the strategic agenda. However, when appropriate, it can create an environment that reduces staff turnover and improves productivity. When employees are really happy at work it has a very positive effect on the quality of customer service too which in turn enhances turnover and profits.
