Guidance on securing a training contract
This event is designed for Nottingham Law School current and prospective students who wish to become a solicitor or paralegal.
Legal experts will deliver a number of recruitment and selection workshops to help you secure a training contract with your chosen firm and / or gain paralegal employment in the legal profession.

This event is designed to offer you guidance on securing a training contract with your chosen firm and improving your job prospects.
At this event you will meet tutors from your course and members of the Nottingham Law School employability team. Their experience and expertise will provide you with the advice and guidance to help you gain legal employment.
12.45 pm: Registration
1 pm: Welcome and Introduction with the Nottingham Law School employability team
1.15 pm: How to prepare a winning CV and covering letter with Sarah Kinton, Postgraduate Careers Consultant
2 pm: How to make a successful training contract application with Samantha Hope, Recruitment Manager at Shoosmiths
2.45 pm: Refreshment break - an opportunity to meet employers, the Employability team, course leaders, and careers tutors.
3 pm: How to manage assessment centres and interviews with Elliott Moulster, VHS Fletchers
3.45 pm: Q & A session
4 pm: End
4 pm – 6 pm: If you have further questions, you are also welcome to attend out postgraduate and professional open event (Level 1, Newton building) where you can find information about course structure, fees and funding and scholarship opportunities.
The event is free, but places are limited. Please book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
