Many thanks to those colleagues who joined us for a day with a difference: away from the office, in the creative environment of Antenna!
We learned about Design Thinking: an innovative, human-centred and hands-on approach to tackling complex problems of our modern world. We started by exploring its many potential uses in education, then our external facilitator from the Design Council helped us apply it immediately to our specific interests and every-day life situations.
The workshop was limited to only 25 places.
Design Council is an enterprising charity which celebrates, advocates and actively pursues purposeful design for public benefit. They are already working successfully with many of our students at NTU, but this time they come to share their knowledge and experience with interested members of NTU staff. The facilitator ensures us that the workshop will be fast-paced and will take a learn-by-doing approach - so expect to come away with a number of methods that can be readily applied to your every-day life.
