Abstract
Interest in low-carbohydrate, high-fat diets and developments in the science of training adaptation have resulted in a need to clarify the role of carbohydrates for endurance-based athletes. In this seminar Dr. Wallis will discuss new research into the metabolic influence of carbohydrate during endurance and how the quantity and type of dietary carbohydrate affect exercise metabolism and performance.
