Event details

Nottingham Trent University is delighted to be hosting the third Kenyan Student Conference taking place on Saturday 9th March 2019 at the NTU City Site campus.

The conference theme is “Empowering Youth - Transforming Kenya” and will be attended by the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary of Education and the Kenyan High Commissioner.

Students will have an opportunity to hear from the Ministry and High Commission as well as take part in an open forum Q&A session.

The afternoon programme involves breakout sessions facilitated by academic staff and industry professionals from across the UK and Kenya, with a view to engaging students to think about an “Exit Plan”.

The conference aims to support students in their “After University” strategy and to engage them in discussion around employment, self-employment, the transition back to Kenya and into the work place both in Kenya and the UK.

This conference is for Kenyan students who have come to the UK for study, as well as Kenyan students domiciled in the UK.
