- Location: Lecture Theatre 4, Chaucer, Nottingham Trent University, 50 Shakespeare Street, Nottingham, NG1 4fQ
The Centre for Broadcasting & Journalism in the School of Arts and Humanities presents this guest lecture from documentary and editorial photographer David Severn. David's work explores working class culture and the places associated with it, being heavily influenced by his experiences growing up in a former mining town.
From The New York Times to Newstead Abbey, David Severn invites you to join him as he presents his images reflecting on the relationship between leisure, work and landscape. The award winning documentary photographer will share his ongoing long-term project 'Thanks Maggie', exploring the impact of de-industrialised areas of the East Midlands.
There will be a chance to meet David after the event and network with refreshments provided.
All students are welcome, and we would especially like to encourage students from the School of Arts and Humanities and the School of Art & Design to attend. For enquiries to this event, please contact Jackie Derbyshire at firstname.lastname@example.org
