Event details

Don't miss this brilliant (and free!) two-part workshop led by Bridie Squires (NTU Writer in Residence) and the fabulous Dizzy Ink. With absolutely no experience required, it's a great introduction to free writing and zine making.

Session One: Writing Hunt
Wednesday 22 May, 2 pm – 5 pm
Bramley building reception, NTU Brackenhurst Campus

In this first session, Bridie will guide you through a short introduction to free writing before you head out across the campus to create your work. Using the environment around you, you'll write, take photos, draw, make rubbings and collect items to include in your finished zine.

Session Two: Zine Making
Wednesday 29 May, 2 pm – 5 pm
Dizzy Ink, The Carousel, Hockley, Nottingham, NG1 1FH

During the second session you'll work out of Dizzy Ink's studio in the city centre. You'll share what you've gathered during the Writing Hunt, and spend time editing and combining your work into a zine that you can take home with you.

Copies of all the zines created during this workshop will be showcased in the Notts Zine Library at Nottingham Contemporary.

Who can attend?

This free, two-part workshop is open to NTU students and staff, however you must be able to attend both sessions.
