As part of the School of Science and Technology SHAPE  Research Centre Seminar Series, Rob Needham, NTU presents: Asthma and exercise-induced bronchoconstriction: Prevalence and the effects of Prebiotics.

Abstract

  • The talk will introduce asthma and exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and the prevalence of both conditions in the general and athletic populations.
  • It will explore the potential of prebiotics to reduce exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
  • The talk will discuss how prebiotics may help to resolve some of the issues with current asthma medication.
